Plenty of spaces to relax in, hikes to explore and all around you, the indeginous beauty of our valley.
The Sky Terrace is designed to emerse guests in the outdoors while providing the basic comforts for a relaxing and restfull stay. The perfect space for retreats, annual gatherings, company expeditions, team-building and workshops. This unique alternative gives you freedom to create something new, in a space that people always fall in love with.
Built over 10 years, using rock from the valley, reclaimed wood and large windows to catch all the views. Our goal is to make everything ourselves, by hand, and keep the Sky Terrace balanced with its natural surroundings.
Silo-Capsules
Repurposed grain-silos turned into mobile bedroom-pods, with two beds (bunk-style) in each. A glamping concept completely unique to Sima Kade.
Butterfly Hall
A large round hall with a strong wooden floor and stone walls broken up by 11 double doors. The hall has a butterfly roof floating on wrap-around windows and a large fireplace.
Stone Towers
3 towers, each with 2 en-suite bedrooms, perched on the edge of the slope, with large windows and butterfly roofs.

The Sky Terrace can accommodate groups of 22 people (11 rooms).
The Sky Terrace can only be booked by one group at a time and the minimum rate is for 12 people. The 6 Silo Pods are 'bunk-style' and can sleep 2 persons each. Shared bathrooms are located close to the pods. The 6 Tower Rooms have en-suite bathrooms and 2 single beds in each (can be made up as doubles). A gatherings hall that is an ideal space for hosting meditation, yoga, dance and drama workshops. The enclosed lounge can be converted for conferecing with tables and seating. The indoor and outdoor dining areas each seat up to 22 people. The 2 bathrooms are located next to the capsules. For overflow there is shaded camping space where tents can be pitched at a separate rate.

Standard Rates:
The rate is R900pppn for the first 12 pax and R650pppn therafter with a minimum group size of 12 persons required or a minimum of R10800 per night for less than 12 pax.
Please Note:
• Midweek bookings (Mon-Thur, excl. public holidays & December) are not required to meet the minimum 12 people requirement, however, for groups of 5 or less, the rate will be R1200pppn.
• Children under 12 not allowed (not child safe).
• Deposit of R8000 to secure booking.
• Rates based on a two-night booking.
• Above prices are for 2026.
• Viewings can usually be arranged on available weekdays.
• Rates include 15% VAT.
• Bedding, towels, tea, coffee, sugar and soap provided.
• The 2027 rate is R990pppn for 12 pax (minimum of R11800pn). Thereafter the rate will be R700pppn for each additional guest (13-22).
Services:
If required Sky Terrace bookings can include vegetarian catering for groups of 12 people or more. The menu will be designed according to your requirements. The meals will be delivered at your requested times. Please request the catering pricelist when making your booking enquiry. Catering does not include staff to clean the dishes.
Self-catering does not include staff to clean dishes and the kitchen.
Tents can be arranged for additional guests, please inquire for rates. Bringing your own tents? A camping fee still applies.
Massages & Spa Treatments can be arranged on request. We have partnered with a local mobile-spa to provide this service.
Firewood is provided at a rate of R350 per night.
Cell reception peaks at 4G in some spots, but can be unreliable.
Wi-Fi is available at the Bush Camp. Thunder storms and power outages do sometimes affect the towers and cause outages. The speed is good enough for streaming and video calls, though we highly recommend a device-free stay.
